Private internet access reviews12/28/2023 Subsequently, PIA on my phone also started to misbehave and it showed a kind of error message immediately after I logged in. The second time I contacted customer service to fix the OpenVpn protocol, they managed to cause my internet connection to collapse entirely and it is still puzzle to me how they did that. Customer service first instructed me to only use WireGuard because they could not make OpenVPN function. I was asked to send an error report directly from the App after contacting customer service for help. First, it stopped working on my pc all of sudden weeks ago. Now barely 1 year, the PIA VPN already started to be more a trouble-maker than a useful VPN. I made a mistake purchasing 3 years' subscription. PIA VPN became useless after barely 1 year Please remember that CAPTCHA's are put in place to protect everyone's online security, and although they can be frustrating they play a crucial role in maintaining a safer internet environment. Additionally we recently published the following blog with tips on how to avoid CAPTCHA's with a VPN that you can review for further assistance. Please know that if you ever choose to try our service again in the future that we do offer our users the ability to purchase a Dedicated IP which is another possible solution to help reduce captcha activity as it provides you with a dynamic IP address that only you can access. I understand that you have chosen to allow your subscription to run its course and have gone to another VPN provider. Unfortunately, this caution can lead to more frequent CAPTCHA's being displayed as a verification step to ensure you're a legitimate user and not a bot. Since VPNs are often used to mask real IP addresses and bypass geographical restrictions, Google tends to be cautious with such traffic to prevent abuse. As a result, Google's algorithms may flag this as suspicious behavior, as it seems like multiple requests are coming from the same IP address within a short period and they are trying to protect against automated bots and potential malicious activity. Please understand that when you connect to the internet through a VPN, your IP address appears as the IP address of the server location that you are connected to, which also happens to be shared with other users using the same VPN server. Please know that this is any issue that many VPN providers have recently been experiencing and one that we are continuing to try to address. Hello Giovanni, I am sorry to hear that while using our application that you experienced a high volume of CAPTCHA activity and despite the many troubleshooting suggestions that our support team provided you, we were unable to help reduce this activity while utilizing our VPN. Reply from Private Internet Access 4 days ago Admittedly, it was pretty good when it worked for those 2 months, but now, sadly, it serves little purpose, so I cancelled the "auto-renew" option and will just let it run out. If one is thinking of trying PIA, from personal experience, I would not suggest going for the 2-year package, as I opted for the two years, and the issues started when I was past my 30-day refund period. Their final reply was this - "Regarding the Captcha issue, the previous troubleshooting steps are what we can recommend right now otherwise, try again at a later time." I understand that they tried to help me and fault find out what was happening unfortunately, that didn't help, so I switched to another VPN. I am past my 30-day window, so unfortunately, no refund can be offered. We tried everything that was suggested (different countries, WireGuard, changing ports), but sadly, the captchas kept happening. Their support team did try to help me through this and made many suggestions, but unfortunately, it was to no avail. Around two months in, there was captcha after captcha, sometimes as many as 6 or 7 captchas, which soon became unworkable. This VPN started off well, and I read some good reviews, so I went with it. PureVPN gets my VPN, my static IP, and port forwarding business. PIA support is unresponsive and takes forever to provide an answer, an aswer that is not acceptable. I have no problem with PureVPN and Static IP solutions, although their support is only slightly better because they respond quickly. I'll just give my business to a company that provides a solution that works. When I found this discrepancy many months later, they refused to refund. Compared to the competitors, their Static IP solution is expensive and does not support features required to work, namely the ability to open ports into the server running it. I do have a HUGE issue with their Static IP offering and their abysmal support. Poor support and some solutions half-bakedīasic VPN Service Works.
